Education is anything you learn. Education is a natural part of life and for children EVERYTHING is education. Children are always learning because the world is new to them. Children learn with or without instruction and often learn beat without interference. True education involves freedom. When children are free to follow their inclinations and led by curiosity, they learn effortlessly without force of coercion. Once force or coercion is used education becomes training. Traditional schooling is founded on force and coercion and many children struggle and come to hate "learning" and "education." However when children experiencing learning through life, the world is a school. Children who learn this way become lifelong learners and understand education is freedom.
The Dragonflies Way

How to Homeschool
How do you homeschool? Get out of your home! The world is a school and learning happens easily and organically. The opportunities for education are all around us. Nature offers many lessons in science, it is the foundation of all science. When children learn the world is a classroom, they never stop learning. Creating lifelong learners is a benefit of homeschool because traditionally students believe learning stops at graduation or only happens in school. But when children know learning is innate to living, they are more resilient and know to find resources and knowledge to help them solve any problem they face. This is the advantage of homeschool.
Homeschooling isn't a cookie cutter education, each student needs different stimuli and learning environments. Some students may take to nature and discovering education just observing and playing. And what they see may lead them to want to research and learn more. Another may dive deep into one particular topic like trains and want to know how they work, the history and the future. When parents take interests in their passions and ask the right questions now they are critically thinking. Homeschool is not about doing school at home. It is about discovering education in the world.
I host private virtual seminars on how to homeschool and changing how we see education. If you or your group are interested in learning more about the Dragonflies' way and how to apply it to homeschool email firstname.lastname@example.org.
