What do you do when you are scared? Do you runaway, hide or run towards it? What if there is another option. What if you just observe your fear? What if you allow your mind to trace back to the root of your fear? Fear stems from our beliefs about life. Fear stems from a sense of lack in some way. So, when you feel fear ask yourself a few questions: What do I think I will lack or miss? Why am I afraid to be without it? Is it rational? Fear often keeps people from even trying, from even considering the possibilities. Fear shuts down our potential. Many will limit their options out of fear because they are afraid to even try and most never even question the root of their fear. For example, many creatives don’t pursue their passion with all their heart because they are scared for varies reason. Some are afraid to fail but never define what failure looks like for themselves. Is failure not being able to have the approval of those close to you? Is failure not being rich or famous? Most don’t consider other ways to pursue their creative passion and using it to make a living. If you are a painter at heart do you consider having an art studio and helping other artist showcase their art? Having a children’s art program? Selling paint or painting murals for business? Or did you just decide you couldn’t be rich selling your artwork and therefore follow a more traditional path and suppress your creativity? What is the root of your fears? Figure out the root and attack it. The problem lies at the root. Often fears are put in us by society, by our parents, family members, teachers and media. We are programmed to believe life has to look a certain way and when our hearts attempt to lead us in another way then we become fearful. Society teaches a limited perspective of what life is, what it can be and what its purpose is. We can be so much more.
Often the root of fear is the unknown. It’s the “what ifs” that keep people from exploring the possibilities. What if I’m wrong? What if it doesn’t work? What if it doesn’t turn out the way I envision? But so what! What if you learn valuable lessons on the journey? What if you discovery a new path? What if you discover new skills and talents? What if you meet beautiful souls to help you along the way? What if you discover your purpose? The unknown elicits fear in most people because most have been taught to fear what they don’t know. We should be cautious when dealing with the unknown but remember it has the opportunity to be good or bad. It does us better to discover the truth about it. Don’t allow fear to keep you from discovering truth, truth about yourself and truth about the world. Only when you are committed to discover the truth can you truly conquer your fears. When you become a truth seeker, fear becomes obsolete. You remove the need for fear in your life. Now you can focus on learning and growing on your journey. This does not mean there won’t be challenges but you face them without fear. Instead you face them with a thirst for life, an open mind and a growth mindset. With this perspective, we can create a new reality, a shift in our consciousness. Without fear we can accomplish more, we can learn more and we can create a new world. Fear shuts down our divine power and connection. Release fear and open your mind and heart to the possibilities.
